Body Building Diets - Fuel For Your Engine

Everyone knows the benefits of a balanced healthy diet.  It's a fact that eating the proper foods can boost your immune system and reduce the risk of you catching certain diseases.  Body building diets are no different.

The food that we eat is, in essence, fuel for our body, why then, do we continue to stuff junk food and processed foods down our throats?  You wouldn't run a muscle car on sub standard fuel would you?  No, you'd be scared that it would cause poor performance and possibly damage the engine.

Harmful foods in your body building diets can have a negative effect on your muscle growth and in extreme cases cause damage to your body's ability to fight infections and other diseases.

So, my advice is to stop eating junk food and start eating a healthy diet that covers all the major food groups.  Your body building diet should enhance your training routine.  You won't build muscle eating cheeseburgers.  Sure you'll bulk up but it's not the kind of bulk you'll want, believe me.

The way we look at food in our culture has changed over the last fifty years or so.  Our society is one of instant gratification.  Whatever we want, we want it now.  It's easier to order take out than to prepare a home cooked meal with fresh ingredients.

So, if you are looking to build muscle mass, remember that food is only fuel for your body's engine.  Start to putting some thought into your body building diets.  Don't run your engine on sub standard fuel - use premium and you'll soon see improved results.
